Sani2c tyre combo

I've been looking for the right combo on tyres for the 2017 Sani2c. At the moment I'm leaning toward: Vittoria Barzo Front and Vittoria Saguaro in the back, have anyone tested this combo @ Sani?

I had a racing Ralph rear barzo front last year in the mud. Barzo was great, the Ralph not so much. Given previous experience with a saguro (not at Sani though) I would have preferred the saguro to the Ralph. Have a new saguro waiting to go on for when my Ralph wears out.

As the trails are swept every morning, even Crossmarks will work. If it rains, head over to one of the many reasonably priced LBS on site....

crossmarks better work as that is what I'm using there. I will take a broom in case they miss a spot!

A million dirt roadies would agree. I like them. They are the Toyota Camry of rubber. Not particularly good or bad, but get the job done reliably... And when they're on special at CWC, a bargain too.

Yeah, just don't expect them to grip anything but hardpack...

GREAT tyres for that sort of terrain, but anything else - no thanks. Bearing in mind I'm talking re front tyres. Back tyres can be different based on how you want it to hook up. If you're more of a drifter or a railer...

Spez Fast Track (control casing) front and rear; or

Spez Fast Track (control casing) rear and Ground Control (control casing) front.

Inexpensive and works in most conditions.

Anything works at Sani - round and rubber with air in them will do the trick, trails are so groomed it likes riding on a highway, don't need much grip even on front tyre !  :D Guys even road it with Cyclo Cross bikes last year
