This brings me to a question that's permanently bugging me:

WHY WHY WHY do people ride their (dual-sus, expensive) MTB's ON THE TAR in the Cradle when there's a flipping awesome MTB track less than a meter to their left?

Because then Strava will show a slower average hahaha. Heaven alone knows why anyone would do that damage to mtb tyres when they have the option of riding on gravel!

Was looking at the Strava segment Green corridor to Meerendal from Conties that runs alognside Vissershok road and couldn't figure out why I was so much slower than the last time I rode that segment because in my estimation I was flying.

Then I saw that I did the faster time on the 99'er road race (on my road bike) and Strava can't tell the difference.

Their riders are also usually of the rotund variety, and leave more polystyrene containers lying around post event.

They also create noise pollution........

No CX bikes in MTB races so I say no MTBs in road races

What is the differentiater between a CX bike and a MTB? If you were to put a straight handlebar on a CX bike, will they allow you on the argument that you are riding a MTB without shocks?

Or tend to drop their plethora of snacks out of their top tube bag just as you come up behind them to pass. . . .

What is even worse are these guys trying their utmost to hold onto the lower groups in the large timed road races just to prove a point............

Considering nowadays you get shocks for CX bikes the line between the two has become quite vague. . .
