Anybody have a recipe for energy/health bars that they can recommend please?

binding? what do you use?

Brown rice syrup, sorgham syrup or Date paste all work pretty well.

I make the ones as per GCN on YouTube. The one Si makes. They a huge hit on and off the bike.

Did the 3 ingredient bars last night - nuts, dates and cranberries and they are so good I had to put them in the freezer so they can last to my next ride. Just wrapped in wax paper and then will pop in a sandwich bag in my pocket.

+1 for Fastbar

+1 for banana!

 

 

In a pinch, regular nougat is probably the closest you'll get to a fancy "bar" and probably just as effective.

This looks great and simple enough for even me to follow ????

Quick question, can I leave out the salt?

 

Also try use a natural salt like sea salt or rock salt.  Will have the correct minerals in it, where table salt is just straight sodium chrloride made in a factory.
