OK I have only seen( and felt) while flying the air plane is nose up, so the earth is not flat, it's concave.

Dumbass should have done the experiment in the isle

Hehe its been a while since the flat earth thing popped up.

I enjoy the nutters and the trolls who wind the nutters up, this applies to anything really.

For some real fun and games google Westboro Baptist Church, their page should be the second link...

I'm not sure if this is off-topic, but what the hell ;)

LOL. Science a religion. LOL. Science is the study of things we do not understand, and the attempt to understand those things which we see / find, and is subject to constant revision should there be sufficient conflicting information.

Religion is the attribution of everything to a higher power. Nothing is subject to revision. God always did it.

Flat earthers, chem-trailers, moon landing sceptics, anti vaxxers, climate change denialists... the list goes on. All batty, and essentially argue from an ideological standpoint. Meaning, really, that no amount of evidence presented as a counter-argument will change their views.

Very interesting .

If science is "attempting" to understand things we do not understand then surely science can not be taken as gospel all the time .

Without empirical proof science is merely speculating, very much like someone who operates on faith .

So neither science nor a believer are either right or wrong .

Science can not prove that there is no higher power but it rater speculates around the fact and then decides that it's all a myth.

People who operate on faith do exactly what the scientists are doing except for the fact that they don't reject that which science has not been able to prove .

Earth must be round because human nature has taught us that we tend to go in circles all the time

Science comes down to consensus view of current knowledge and assumptions. Granted, hopefully well learned assumptions.

Sadly the history of science is riddled with scientists being caught up with the (defense of) current scientific dogma, and not doing an honest job of questioning, learning and expanding knowledge.

Only human after all...

Not a defense of theism, acknowledgement of atheism, agnosticism or the proposal of the abandonment of science, nor support that science and theism are at odds. The above is a mere observation.

I'm sorry, but I don't think you know anything about how science works or the scientific method. There is no faith involved in science.

You are right though when you say science cannot prove that there is no higher power. It can't, and it doesn't claim to. You can't disprove something that hasn't been proven in the 1st place.

It's clear that you have little understanding of the nature of the scientific method. Rather read up on it before posting such drivel.

Its always difficult to argue with people around these topics. the only way is repeatable reults and evidence based testing.

On the flat earth piece you would have some problems with air travel in that case...
