His distance traveled is OVER 9000!

Pity you never got to see the ride. It started in London, was a perfectly straight line to the N12 near middleburg then R21 and then it ended near the airport. The segment of mine it recorded is the road right alongside the R21 by emperors palace.

Starting to make sense. He perhaps erroneously pressed the Start button on his watch and it just kept rocking from there. Impressive battery life considering those flights take 10+ hours!

Don't be jealous that you aren't a proper endurance rider like him... :P

I  have been a little bored at work recently waiting for the grapes to ripen and came across Jaco's name at the top of a few Boschendal uphill section. Went to his profile and saw he has been slaying the Durbanville trails as well. Many of you in Durbanville will know Mr Veldsman, i do not believe he came hold 500watts for 30min.

I smell an Ebike...

I have been pestering him for a few days with no response, so maybe the HUB can help.

Actually noticed this guy on Strava a few days ago when he got a KOM on a road we train on often. Seems he gets a kick out of picking up KOM's on his e-bike and annoying other strava users.

Guess it is inevitable that you will get "trolls" like this once e-bikes become common - seems lots of his rides are now flagged though...

Knob head.

Find his route, ride it, find him and have a chat to him in person. Annoymous trolls quickly change their tune when having real world discussions.

Not just any e-bike. This oke's got a company that sells strap-on e-bike motors.

Hi Patch,

Fortunately their is no anonymity with this, I have met Jaco a few times (whether he remembers me or not) and we are both using our real names.

I dont live in 'ville, so meeting him on route is tricky.

I just get frustrated because guys bleed out their ears for those KOM's and then someone straps on a motor and spoils everyone fun.

Maybe it is a publicity stunt for his product, however swak it is.

For clarity sake, next time please start your post with 'he is a knob head' or 'you are a knob head' as i am not sure which one it is.

Thanks!
