Everyone implying that they carry firearms while riding, where on earth do you carry them?? And are they compact revolvers?

Never carried one myself, but rode with a friend one who carried his, carried it in his camelbak backpack, not the wisest thing to do imo.

Not smart at all.

Been a bit busy recently so missed this thread at the time.

Not in the same league as The Penetrator or the "hidden" Glock, and without wishing to incur the wrath of the admins for promoting a product, at least have an app like Shake2Alert on your phone.

It won't stop a man with a gun but you will be able to let everyone know exactly where you are and what is happening. Use it with the wearable bluetooth button and you can leave your phone in your camelbak and just press the button to trigger an alert.

M&P 9 compact, otherwise a Spyderco Civilian might scare them off, specifically designed for combat, and not biltong cutting.

That is a nasty piece of steel!! Depending on the setup you carry in, add a cable tie to that thumb ring and it opens up when you draw.

Those are rad knives, but just make would be attackers angry if your muscles and reflexes aren't specifically designed for combat to match your knife.

I say take it... take it all. I do my best to not put myself in unnecessary situations but should that fail, my possessions are not worth not seeing my wife again.

What you need is a good insurance policy for your bike and shoes you can run in.....

Bikes are replaceable - people - not so much.....

This works great for running. Not very practical for cycling, unless you can fit it in your hydration pack. Personally I think knives and pepperspray are useless. I got mugged once, they never come alone, a knife will get you killed.
