minjin Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Was wondering about local cycling clothing manufacturers and the quality of the goods they produce vs the international brands. Importing clothing is stupidly expensive with the insane duties, and I would really like to support local if possible. What are the really great items that you have come across that are proudly SA? Sure I know the regular stuff but perhaps there are some small niche players out there.

And not always the most expensive kit either.

Ciovita is great quality (feels better than my much more expensive Santini bib) and the pricing is great when ordered from Bike Addict online. I hate looking like a mobile billboard so there stuff works for me. Plus they have 3 fits so if you are a racing snake or a puffaddder (me) they've got you covered.
