See now this confuses me. This bike does not fall in either the vertical or the horizontal rear shock categories...

Is there really anything like a 69er?

I wondered that too, once.

Googled that, too. Didn't think it had anything to do with bicycles; at least not according to urban dictionary...

Luckily the guy asking at the time was looking for, the, uhm...bicycle version of it...

Wait man, I like those litevilles.

I thought the op was gonna re write the article, but he just ranted.

Developing the new Liteville 301 MK14, we have taken the biggest evolutionary step ever in the long history of the 301. The future oriented Scaled Rearend is yet another milestone of the consequent Scaled Sizing concept that allows for six different frame lengths with ideal rear frame geometries despite big diameter wheels.
The proven four-bar linkage kinematics of the 301 MK14 was optimized and adapted to metric dampers. Thanks to the revised linkage bars, the pressure of the damper could be lowered which leads to a further improved responsiveness.
With these innovations as well as the all-new EIGHTPINS variable seatpost, the Liteville R&D department has been able to push the 301 MK14 into a league of its own.

Opp you missed out on an opportunity to secure a part time journalism post on the hub!!

Well before it goes further, let me eat some humble pie then.

I apologize for not checking the date of this post. My bad.

I apologize that English is not my first language, and I did not understand or misunderstood the writers use of new-comer category (he could have been referring to a lot of things to be fair).

NO, I do not own one, but as a student in Germany had the chance to ride one, and it is without doubt one of the finest mountain bikes I have ever rode (they are very expensive- maybe one day).

I do however stand by my assertion that, even though the bike in the article was from 2013 and thus, a mark3, the geometry and wheel sizes had not changed since the mark 1 and thus to state that time would tell if it works is a bit incorrect, but be that as it may. And, for the record, it is nothing like the 69er, I would refer you to the pink bike article provided in the original post, this will explain to you why it isn't much like a 69er.

Were you wearing Spandex when you rode it?
