True. But that wasn’t really the point of my post.

when people have an axe to grind, be sure that they'll find something, or someone to grind it on. call it proto-confirmation bias  :w00t:

Voluntary suspension would’ve been a cool move by The Dawg

Just because of the ripple effects being caused by this kidney drama

Would it reflect acceptance if guilt? Guess so.

Unless otherwise stated.

Even if the rules do not uphold suspension, it would’ve shown that they don’t have their head up there own arses, especially in light of the Wiggins scandal ????

Does Bilharzia cause kidney damage?

Asking for a friend . . .

Tell your friend  - yes it can:

If the patient does not receive treatment, and the eggs stay in the body, there may be long-term effects. These include:

  • Bleeding of the bladder
  • Ulceration of the bladder
  • Liver damage
  • Eventual kidney failure
  • Bladder cancer.

If the eggs get into the bloodstream they can get into various vital organs, resulting in lung, heart, intestinal and CNS (central nervous system) damage.

Recurrent infections, especially over a period of years, can result in serious damage to vital organs.

Yip, and it's more likely to attack the liver the day after you lose time to rivals in a big bike race and then stage a great comeback and smash them out the park the next day.

So in a nutshell, liver damage is really good for cycling performance

I see the Giro organizers are now putting pressure on the UCI to resolve this:

The director of the Giro d’Italia Mauro Vegni has said that the UCI must "sort out" Chris Froome's salbutamol case before the start of this year's Italian Grand Tour. He reiterated that he cannot accept a "compromise solution" that would allow Froome to ride and possibly win the Giro d'Italia only to lose his victory due to a positive anti-doping result from another race, which is what happened to Alberto Contador in 2011.

You see that Roman "I can only win if Froome doesn't participate" Bardet has now also piped up....

You'd keep quiet if a guy that kept klapping you was basically bust for doping?

If I was clean I would have been screaming my head off...

(that's a big 'IF' in these circles however)

So Roman is clean?

I thought one of the main reasons we didnt like SKY was because they kept screaming at dopers?

Patch, this sky stuff really gets you hot under the collar

Read my post again, I made it pretty clear that I doubt any of them are clean.

And I have no issue with Sky personally - I've defended them plenty when accusations are unfounded.

This is not unfounded stuff though... this is a problem.

And anybody on this planet who was ending up no2 in races behind someone 'bust for doping' would not be happy or quiet about it. That's what I was saying.

I stopped thinking cyclists were Mensa members when I read articles like this:

Michael Rasmussen asked dad to donate blood, used canine blood substitute

Ricco admits blood transfusion caused hospitalisation

Rourke Croeser and his insulin syringes for "lancing saddle sores"

And if you need any more proof of their intelligence, try some of the excuses for why they tested positive:

Looks like Chris saw my post and wanted in on the list.

The - "My kidneys malfunctioned and released massive amounts of Salbutamol while I climbed at 7w/kg and rode 21 seconds into my nearest competitor" is a pretty good entry.

Normally, when kidneys malfunction you get a transplant, or go on dialysis, or get EPO (hang on - I see where this is going...).

Who was it that blamed the phantom twin?
