What's the difference between the bikes that Kate used for the XC WC at Stellenbosch and the one she's using in the Epic, except from the change in paint job?

Looks like an extra bottle cage and a SWAT kit

Not every day that I get to sit in the bunch and talk s&%t with one of my cycling heroes... none other than Robbie McEwen. What a class act, easy to talk to and naughty as hell, he had us in stitches most of the time. And he can still pedal a bike... fast. He recons he'll be back next year to ride it... he's hooked.

HAHAHA and then he dropped you for some peace and quiet!!  Thanks for some great laughs and good company on the trails, was really an incredible experience and maybe one day can win a full entry!

Kate looks like she's popped large!

Pedalling squares and swerving all over the place....

Oh dear she said she popped with 10km to go yesterday and was nursed to the finish by Annika...

They still have a 35 min lead. Maybe it not a bad idea to ease off on the pace on the next stage?

While I get your point about having an exceptional team around you is essential, to say Howie Grotts is leading the epic purely because Jaro is his partner is a bit offsides . One thing having arguably the strongest partner , but you still got to push out the watts and handle the technical at max speed and race on the limit . That doesn't just happen by osmosis from your partner .

How many other teams have had days of falling way behind cos one partner can't keep up .

I reckon Grotts racing like a champion

I also think Grotts is doing amazing. I chuckle every time I see them on the podium....Grotts not sure if he can put his hand around Koolharvey,,,very funny!

I think she just trying to match Annika's outrageous pace but doing so well to keep up as much as she has so far.  Annika only knows one way...total dominance

Dont think Ariane and the Belgium will let them have that luxury.

Ariane and the Belgium are out. Belgium (can't remember her name now) had a fever and was advised to not continue.

Crazy, what a pity. But I can believe it. Doesn't matter who you are, no one can go and race the Epic unprepared. Jy sal *** wat jy nie geeet het nie, al is jy n pro.
