This track will definitely suit Bruni, Gwin, Minnaar and Brosnan. Bulldozers like McDonald might have a tough weekend.

True, but poor Greg is on that fragile 29er wheel/tyre combo that cost him last seasons title...:-)

I know about these events , but the riders that perform there are the riders that perform at Hardline and Rampage and where do those okes end up at WC events ?

Very few of them compete in WC events... And the WC Guys that compete in those just do it for laughs

Hopefully Santa Cruz have addressed the "Minnaar-ster" issues from last season...

I think SC dropped Enve, and are using their own rims this season, as far as I know

Marcelo Guitierres is often the winner of those events, and he places top 10 quite regularly in WC.

Point is, if you're happy with handling a bike at speed down a rocky AF chute with trees on each side, then a few buildings and some cobbles should be fine. These guys know how to attenuate their speed quite well, so thinking that all of a sudden they're gonna be in the deep end when confronted with a narrow alley-way is a bit silly, IMO.

Spot on. The urban section on this "track" is flat and smooth by the look of it. They may have square wheels by the time they get there though :-)

can do and have done often in BoKaap. Cobble roads and alleys, if you want local flavour of something similar. Did it alot about 6 or so years ago.

P.s... Is it not time to start a race specific thread?

Keep it all together and it will read like a story at the end of the season
