Rider attacked in Durban

Net mooi NOTHING on the interwebs at the moment on this story.

The problem I have is that stories like this is a double sided sword. 

 

The fact that it is not in the main stream news does not mean that it did not happen.

 

The fact that it is on social media does not mean it did happen.

 

I know of quite a few murder especially where there seems to be quite a bit of hate involved and are very gruesome that did not make it to the news.  You seldom hear the detail of many of the farm attacks.

 

But I also would not like to spread/believe a story purely on someone know someone who heard something.

 

I will reserve comment until I have futher details on this one.

That's what my response boils down to. At the moment there is no information other than hearsay (i.e. no corroboration at this moment) that this attack took place.

Henri's tweet  .... "A friend of mine, cycling in the Durban area was robbed by three people this morning, Then they attempted to saw off both legs with a chainsaw. Blade too blunt and only got half way through one and started on the other. Absolutely disgusting! How safe are we on SA roads?"

What happened to him is worse than many war crimes... I cannot even begin to imagine. Sad day today.

This story is true... a young triathlete attacked by some gents who robbed him and then tried to cut his leg off. The chainsaw was 2 blunt to get through so they did the same to the other leg. He is in hospital with a chance that they may have to amputate his 1 leg.

SA is a f...ed up place !!!

 

 

At first, I (we) might be inclined to agree, but don't you think this is more a 'world' issue?

If this is really 100% true I will be the first to admit my joke was in bad taste, and apologies issued... truly unbelievable thing to have happened. What the actual ****can spur someone on to do something like that. Something very strange is going on here.
