When asking if it is normal that the sole of my MTB shoe has pulled completely off from the shoe itself in just out of the warranty period, was told yes, you probably got mud or water on them.

What shoe ... my First Ascent is looking like it will have no sole soon

Snap!

has been the CR@P3ST pair of shoes ever ... buckles broke twice, creaking from the outset with the latest pair they replaced and the current buckle is also looking like it is going to break soon.

sole also wore very quickly.

will certainly never buy their shoes again.

My Answers were pretty bad too before I got the Mavics.

A shoemaker in Lansdowne sorted them pretty well though. For only R35.

That glue is something else. It probably lasted me another 6 months after that.

So what if I took my Lefty too him?

Will he:

a) put the o-ring on my handlebar

b) red cutex on the stanchion to "leave his mark"

c) let's not test him

d) turn the lefty into a righty to leave his mark

I am weak, I wanted to change the biggest cog to a bigger 30t cog.

And yes, my non franchise LBS pulled out his calculator, did some sums on the differences it would make and then changed it for me on the spot.

interesting, did he sell you a cassette, or a single sprocket?

Them (over the fone): ya, we found the funny noise. It's your Shimano SPDs

Me: ok, can you service them for me?

Them: nah man... those aren't serviceable. Would you like a quote on new ones?

Me (calling back): it took me a minute to find a Youtube video on servicing SPDs, you charlie!!!

Ja I had this one too, but a bit worse. Asked the mechanic if the pedals were serviceable, he said no. Then I checked and saw they were but needed that silly shimano plastic thingy. Asked his about it, he still says these 520s are not serviceable. I get gatvol, find the part number and order it from the counter of the shop.

They get It in like a week, amazing. I go to pick it up, he sees me at the counter and we chat and he asks what I am getting. I show him the tool and say “the tool to service the 520s you say can’t be serviced”.

So I also got this same rigmaroll, ordered the part through CycleLab - after 6 weeks and a bunch of phone calls, and excuse after excuse it never showed up. So what you can do instead is to wrap a towel around it and use a monkey wrench - no damage, and works very well.

Me: medium **** helmet please

Salesperson: what type of riding do you intent to do?

Me: the helmet was specifically requested,  Its will be a present.

Salesperson: Ja, but what type of riding do the person intent to do?

Me: The type of riding is irrelevant, I want this helmet in medium. Can you help me?

Salesperson: I cannot sell this helmet if I don't know the type of cycling the person intents to do.

I turned around and walked out, bought the helmet from a competing store 20km up the road. This is what happens when you employ skoolkinners during December Holidays, CWcycles.
