The "I need something you might throw away" thread

I have a 50mm rim brake darkhorse front wheel that lost a battle with an uber, broken and cracked in 3 places. Anyone want the hub and spokes (if still usable?).

Collection in Claremont.

Looking for just a tapered steerer tube out of a fork .... Needs to be about 180mm or longer if possible

So that no good scored stantion fork upper you have lying around .... Yes that would be perfect! 

I have an idea but I need that part to try something out, I do know someone who can press it out for me 😎

Not something being thrown away as such but I’m looking for a set of 27.5” boost wheels, to replace the Sunringle Duroc 30 on my kid’s bike. Thru-axle. Something fairly tough as she does meet rocks/stumps sideways sometimes 😊 Current rims seem to be rotting for want of a better word - rear wheel valve is pulling through the rim.

Someone with a shimano 10 speed road shifter laying around? My Ultegra shifters are starting to miss shifts down where it just doesn’t click

Upgrade her to a set of 29ers. The frame will be able to accommodate it. I do have a set of Sun Ringle Helix here with me

Try taking the cable out and spray plenty of Q20 into the shifter while shifting up/down a few times.  You can also pour boiling water into the shifter.it is sometimes the old grease/dust/debris that builds and causes the shifter to miss a shift or two.

This should work for most shifters old and newer.
