Poor design thread

How about those body-suit things all the girls used to wear in the 80's.  There was no way in hell you were going to slip your hand up a top at the drive-in when they were wearing one of those.....and if you headed south to where the buttons or clips were, you were on a one-way trip to a fat lip.

Come to think of it, If I had a daughter, I would probably make her wear one now.

Scrap that - body suits for girls are a brilliant design.

Tell him to get with the program.

I'm left handed and left footed but play golf/cricket/hockey right handed or left, confuses the heck of of the bowler when you change between balls :P

I also eat and use a mouse right handed but can do most things ambidextrously.

Yup its a thing with us lefties, fortunately I play guitar and golf right handed because left handed guitars/clubs are hard to find.

I write left handed and play squash/tennis left handed.

Everything else I can go ambidextrous for.

Small cars with tow hitches, no your little hatchback is not going to be towing anything worth towing all you are doing is providing people with something to ruin their shins on.

You'd be surprised what my Velociti can tow.

Also, I need somewhere to put my platform rack. Those little clip on things with the two sticks can take a long walk off a short plank.

I beg your pardon ... that tow bar takes a platform bike rack which in turn takes my mountain bike which is very dear and well worth towing for me.

Handbag at dawn if you persist along these lines of defamation

I am not sure how can I swing this into this poor design thread but...

I purchased a second hand full suspension mtb. This weekend I removed the water bottle bracket that was mounted on the seatpost. The owner had electrical tape wrapped on the seatpost to protect it from the clamps...It looked tatty...

What he did not have was a #%*^ torque wrench. The torque setting on those clamps are 4Nm!!! Not 40Nm! Now there is some nasting dents in the seatpost because the clamps were clearly over tightened.

PS: yes it is a carbon post! Obviously.

I'd also suggest you get a new post... carbon splinters to the sphincter won't be pleasant.

There was a game we used to play at University called Pig-out.  It had nasty tongue twisters like "Splinters to your Sphincter"  I'm guessing you could say that playing Pig-out at any time was a poor design.

Balls!

Why put the most sensitive item in the universe on the outside of the body, then only protect it with some flimsy leftover elbow skin.

Proof that there is no such thing as “intelligent design”!
