I' m not sure about this short track thing beign part of the XCO competition, it seems to benefit a certain type of athlete, the ones with long legs who can wind up a sprint

I watched both women and men’s race after each other and I think it makes for fantastic viewing.

The fact that it counts as wins and points saves it from being a sideshow and you can see the commitment to win it from the athletes.

The kind of action F1 would kill for: lead changes multiple times a lap, tactics and psyching out competitors, how they can recover from crashes and try to keep it together without blowing up from the pace. It plays out as anyone’s race right to the wire.

Will watch again and hope they keep the format.

How come no Alan Hatherly on the start line for the XCC yesterday?

I can't seem to find a start line name list of sorts for tomorrow...

Yes it good to watch  but the smaller athletes like Yana don't stand a chance...just saying

After a great start at round 1 in Stellenbosch Helen Grobert was not at round 2 and I have not seen anything from her leading up to round 3 today - anyone knows if she is injured or why not racing?

the same as beefy riders like A. Last don't stand a chance against her today on the long climbs , the discipline is what it is right now. race it or leave

Yeah I have been asking around well, even the team, no answer :o  it seems the CFR womens team has dissappeared off the face of the earth.

The beefier ones will descent quicker :)

mtb XCO racing is about climbs, descents, technical challenges, tactics, endurance and more: it ain't bust so why try fix it? This Short Track thing is a different type of race completely.  I'm okay for the start position but WC points???

We will see how this pans out.
