Just read this... Video looks cool too, bar a few WTF drops, looks rideable for the likes of me - anyone been?

The video flattens it out a lot - its an advanced route and much steeper than it appears - and some BIG jumps - But there are b and c lines and with some caution just about anyone could get down the hill in 1 piece or mostly in 1 piece.

As long as it's not wet that is... ????

Only one way to find out. Let us know how it goes?

I am happy to take him and show him the route down the hill.. and record the girly screams for posterity.. ????????

I think Uni is a girly

Hahaa so girly screams is totally acceptable. And maybe some crying. And then for balance a whole lot of profanity :)

Let's just put it this way - lost about 1/3 of the field at the last race... me included.. to injury or tech issues... it's a beast - but a beast that can be tamed.

It's definitely a step up from Hakahana difficulty, but It can be taken slowly, and tough sections can be walked. (That damn chute nails me every time)

I did notice on Saturday that many of the lines have changed a lot since champs, most are a bit more ridable, one or 2 less so. So it's still busy evolving as a track does.

There are still many more lines being cut and more chicken runs (i mean normal sane human lines).

Note: I really really wish they'd sort out/steamline the ticket card thing a bit.

The trail monthly fee lasts A full month (30+- days).. The cable car card lasts for THE month, which is seriously irritating when you're keen to go on the last week of the month and it basically a 1-day pass.

Yeah, looks pretty flat... this Garlicki fellow is very heavy on his brakes.

Actually reminds me of that gnarly section of the Spruit in the corner with the roots and stuff.

Gonna go hit this on my hardtail next weekend - gonna be epic
