Porn time!

Love their excuse for making this... "we thought we had it all worked out but hey we were wrong, so we made another 29'r" Boom.

and yes, this has just jumped past the Ripmo on my list.

Feels to me like this bike almost eliminates the need for the Following. Most guys run the following at 140mm front travel, so this just matches the rear up to that. It should also climb better - that seat angle is lots steeper.

Guess I need a new bike now.

You can hear that echo around the world from all evil owners.

TBH I still think the Following is one of the best set ups for 80% trails that most people encounter - how ever gnar you profess to be. I've hammered mine in different locations and I've not found it wanting at all. Let me take it to Bike Park Wales, Fort William and Ainsa over the next month and then I'll let you know for sure!

I have struggled to find the right fit and the new offering looks spot on with the measurements. This is the only reason I"m looking at this new 'offering'. Honest.  :D

Yeah, with you - the Following is perfect for most trails, and a new bike doesn't change that. But a serious draw point on this bike is the steeper seat angle (Following is slack), and the increased reach number (a Med Folowing is just too small for me - looks like the offerint will be spot on).

So it will hypothetically climb better than the 120mm option, and descend better - usually descending capability comes with a sacrifice when climbing - not the case here. I almost see no point in the Following unless you are gonna be running it 120mm in the front as well.

So I know which option I'd go for if I was shopping now. This is gonna be a very poppular model for them me thinks.

Agreed, I just got my Following MB a month ago and I love it but had I known this baby was arriving I would have definitely chosen it over the Following.

Cheers... so that scratched up seat tube is a thing then. I thought people were joking. Not idea. Bette remake sure I have some helitape there and on the inside of the chain stays. I think I'll go 2.3 on peoples recommendation. I did chat to Trailtech today and they said that they've tested most tyres and most sizes and the 2.5 should fit but I'd rather not take the risk.

I'll add that I won't be running a 9r Maxxis Aggressor 2.5 WT on the rear of my Following MB (30 ID rim) as clearance isn't enough and what I would call acceptable. There is also no need for it as a std say ONZA Ibex 2.4 is more than enough with good volume on various width trail rims

Let's see and know for sure once I have our frames on hand ....

Every frame model though has a sweet spot for Craig and I.

Just so you all know (really tall buggers out there) XL frames will only be made available by EVIL end October.

Exciting times indeed

For interest sake I ride a Large in all the models except the Wreckoning (big bike once built) which is a Medium.

Once Craig and I have the Offerings on hand we can then know for sure if we must "downsize" or not given the slightly steeper head angle ....

Feedback we're getting thus far from our FanatikBike counterparts ... looks like I may very well have to ride a Medium Offering with my existing buildkit setup.

So stay tuned and let's see based on tangible facts....

Also, more importantly as it relates to the EVILs, we find arm length and inseam to be key factors for us when recommending frame size. One sits "IN" these bikes and not "ON" them.

I had an E-thirteen trs 2.35" front and back on my Following MB.  The clearance with the 2.35" was enough but only just.  The 2.5" will be a big gamble and I think you will end up replacing it with the 2.3".  Maybe it will be fine in the dry but in the mud you will definitely have a problem.

the E13 9r tires are high volume treads and not something I'd run on the rear unless it is the EVIL Offering.

On the Wreckoning I did however.

If you're running 650s then no problem

Good call. I actually got a 2.3 aggressor to take to Europe but I can't bring myself to break with my Slaughter. Let's see how that goes on the rocks n dust of Ainsa. :)
