Specialized epic Evo?

Innovation is great, agreed, but dont remove the old one completely if there is people that paid big cash for it and will need parts later on. As an example i prefer 2 x 10, and i am struggling to find replacement drivetrain setups, both road and mtb as i am still 10 speed on both.

Thats what i find frustrating.

That's called supply and demand, 2x is still readily available - hell Shimano even has a 2x12 groupset. But the market wants 1x, so bike shops can't afford to stock things that are gonna sit on their shelves forever.

Bike radar had a feature on it in April

They refer to it as a Stumpjumper not Epic

No man. That is about the Stumpy Evo. Spaz have had Evo models in their range for years. Its usually a more extreme i.e focused on descending and fun, version of the bike. The Epic Evo will simply continue that theme. Much like Scott have a Spark that comes with a dropper post and more fork up front.

I know...

I popped in at a Spaz dealer during lunch and he knew nothing about a Epic Evo, only knew the stumpy evo

So they're finally catching up with Giant who did this years ago with the Anthem?

I reckon it's a good move - that little bit of extra travel makes a big difference to the fun side of a bike with minimal impact on anything other than the steepest climbs (in my very non-professional opinion). My last 3 (normally 100mm) XC bikes have all been changed to 120mm forks and I will never go back unless I'm hoping to win something.

XC bikes have to get slacker with more travel have you guys seen how technical the xc races have become. And why not a bike that climbs like a rocket and descends with more ease and still light and a bigger smile.

Don't mock it till you've tried it.
