Same s**t happened to my rudy p's.

Glasses shop said it was from sunblock and sweat.

How can they sell sunglasses that cannot handle sunblock and sweat. Surely the three go together

Must be heat or a chemical or something

I have a pair of Rydons I bought in Jan 2013 and I wear them every day and they are still perfect.

Ditto,  Very happy with mine too

BUT

I have another pair of Rudy's where the smoked lenses are showing micro cracks.  None of my sunnies take any abuse, so I'll need to drop ASG a line to see what can be done.

What chemical are you guys using for sun block? 95 unleaded?

Had my Rudy's for 4 yrs now on photochromatic lenses and no problems (thankfully). A bit concerned in general, but i am guessing there is a component of the "soap" that has been used to wash the sunnies.

my daily glasses has an anti glare coating on.

It usually start cracking after about 6 months. Optometrist said it can be heat or harsh chemicals.

or just badly made.

i had a set of daily glasses glaze and crack one day after i got them. also the anti glare layer.

no heat, no cleaning (unless someone at the shop cleaned with chemicals)

Keep in mind... Sometime the plastic lenses come into contact with liquid/chemicals that affects it finish

I had a slight case of this with some Oakley and couldn't think why/how the lenses got like that.

I eventually tracked it down to some sunblock that was on the lenses while in the bag.

That is a load of bollocks. I have been using my Rudy Photochromic since 2011, lots of sweat and sunscreen over the years. Never had a problem

My Rudy P Rydons are as good as the day I bought them minus a few expected scratches!

I swear by this brand for eye protection.

A common mistake made by users is wiping the lens clean with anything else but the protective cloth. You should also only ever use the inside of the cloth and wash it from time to time.

How can you just say something that somebody said is bollocks? Rather ask them to just back it up.

I have had a set of Rudy Photochromics since I started riding 5 years ago. They are lekker scratched from being abused, but still no fade or other hassles.

The uniform fading, on both lenses, of OPs surely indicates something external caused this.

Haha, is it that time of the month?

Being reasonable is the polar opposite of what you are implying.

I politely said, rather ask for evidence than simply dismissing somebody and say they are talking ***, and you then asked if I have my period. Irony.

Previously had issues with a specific pair of D'Arcs lense tint .... the support in sorting out the issues were just brilliant.
