As for this post and the general tone of your replies; you are not doing the buyer a favour to "agree" to some kind of arrangement here, buddy. You are in the wrong (and have not provided anything to prove the contrary) and I would suggest you eat humble pie, learn some manners and ask nicely...

I believe there is a third side of the story, which sits somewhere between both your versions, it might be closer to either one of you. We are all stakeholders in the proper functioning of the Hub Classifieds so please take us in your confidence otherwise I for one will forever hold aspersions on both your profiles for future transactions.

He should still have all the old parts, invoices for labour etc.... And now he seems to be unwilling to reply to JF or this thread...

WHY NOT PROVIDE "ORIGINAL" OWNERS DETAILS SO THAT "OP" CAN MAKE CONTACT WITH HIM AND FIND OUT IF HE IS AWARE OF THE CONDITION IN WHICH THE BIKE WAS SOLD?? ok, my throat is sore now from shouting! Perhaps the OP can contact original owner and they can come to a compromise and a deal, UNLESS the bike was not sold in the same condition with the same components on as the "original" owner wanted to sell it??
