Have had such a lousy week ITO commuting. ONCE!!!!!!!! Only Monday. Wednesday I was on leave but the other days something literally happened in the morning that made me take the car. Tuesday I was already dressed in my cycling clothes and had to change. Hope next week is back to normal.

The total elevation on the leaderboard differs from my 2019 elevation gain on strava by almost 1000ft. Any reason for this ?

The leader board receives updates from Strava every hour. 1000ft sounds like 1 ride, prob your most recent one that you just uploaded to Strava which hasn't synced to the leader board yet.

Yeah i thought thats the case but the total rides match

week 1 1/2 for me

first week was a little rough riding the LTHT with DH tyres, after coming back from a month holiday where I only did one ride and did not eat well

got the SS commuter back and running for this week and can feel the legs are starting to come back to life

sooo.... when you going on leave again :)

so having been commuting now for the last 3 weeks, how is everyone feeling?

The miles are racking up nicely. Well done everyone.

I am going to try and remember to log all my rides this year (Nearly forgot this morning) and may start riding all the way to work on Thursday mornings too .... normally cycle to a friends house and then get a lift to town and breakfast....what I am trying to say, is that I hope to give you a little more competition this year :)

Slow start but this week has been better.

Got new tyres for my commuter.

Could only find tube type in town. Will have to do for now.

Budget and Januworry!

Heavy with tubes, but they roll well. 700x42c Vee tire city wolf.

New to  its commuting (and technically bike riding)  and the bike hub... doing this in conjunction with the weight challenge as they are somewhat linked. Three weeks down and really enjoying commuting even though its a really short commute. Once I figure out endomondo thing I will try join the challenge... Currently tracking everything on strava.

Welcome! And congrats on taking on the challenge. We wish you many safe miles on your commuting journey. (And on your commuting journey :))

Not long now!

I managed to secure a Joberg2C entry    So even though it's very tempting to do all the training just on commutes, it's may be not all that sensible.

Had a bit of a recovery week this week, so it was slower than the first 2 weeks. We'll put in more kilometers  next week, but I'm not expecting to be able to defend the number 2 spot once you two get going :P
