Yes, Nice. I've never flown in or out of Nice, but DJR Senior recons that it is the most beautiful airport to approach or depart from if you have a window seat.

It certainly is! However, from my window seat up front it can be a little hectic. It requires some careful briefing from a pilot point of view. Very strict flight paths due to noise sensitivity. We also configure the aeroplane for landing quite late to keep the machine clean and quite as long as possible, non standard stuff. There are also several Missed Approach scenarios that need briefing, depending on the position of Going Around relative to your approach.

One has you only climb 500 ft, so briefing TOGA thrust (take off go around) is crazy as the thrust would be excessive! Interesting place.

Impressive watching the “heavy iron” come in. The A380 is especially awesome though I believe they fly the full sraight in ILS.

Thanks for all the advice guys.

Taking of was cool. Felt almost like being in a souped up Opel Astra 2 Bar boosted car of a souped up BMW M5.

Flight was amazing. Had very little turbulence, and had a very smooth landing.

Flight was with Kulula.

Shot some footage as we passed through light cloud cover. But all in all, was fun and can’t wait for the night time flight

Glad to hear.  Enjoy your time in Cape Town.
