Poor service CWC

Is this just an isolated incident or is this the norm at CWC.

I went into the store today hoping to purchase an indoor trainer. With specific interest in the tacx flux 2. Getting there i stand around looking at the different trainers in their boxes noticing they only have the flux s. Eventually a sales person approaches and i ask about the availability of the flux 2. He proceeds to inform me that the flux s is in fact the flux 2. I've obviously done my research and know that the flux s is not the flux 2 and that there are definite differences between the two.

I proceed to enquire whether there's been any changes to the flux 2 flywheel and gradient ability. The salesman assures me the difference is only in software and aesthetics.

I then enquire if it would be possible to demo the flux s vs the wahoo kickr core. He says they don't have any demo units of either. So I ask how i am to decide which of the two to purchase. He says most people read reviews and purchase based on that.

Im sorry CWC my hard earned cash does not get given away willy nilly. I expect more knowledgeable sale people in your store, and also expect better service.

If i do get the opportunity to demo the units and make up my mind i may well sway to another retailer.

Swak, contact the agents for those units and see where u can demo them.

if OP wants agent assistance, go for the Wahoo.

Coolheat won't even bother to respond

Well after the way they built my Factor, I am never using them again.

Quality of mechanics is a big factor.... (sorry... a week of 4000mg of penicillin a day has made me a bit special)

They would not let me ride the top of range Scalpel around the shop on the weekend.

I was keen to bunny hop one of the display cabinets.

Some people have called me the Danny MacAskill of the Northern Suburbs.

at least you got offered some assistance!

I've been in that shop a few times getting no assistance whatsoever.

Left everything on the counter and walked out.

On the trainer topic, only heard good thing with the Wahoo's

Rather big difference between Flux S and Flux 2...not sure how any salesperson could say that to you.

I would also say go for the Core, as local support is pretty good from what I've heard and from my own experience with queries sent to Wahoo (SA).

I previously had a Tacx trainer and had a warranty claim that I had to handle myself directly with Tacx in the Netherlands as local support was pretty much non-existent. They landed up sending me replacement parts at no cost, so it just more work but not impossible if a Tacx warranty claim becomes necessary.

I have had **** service there on numerous occasions in the past 8 months, only a shadow of their former glory...

Don't even start with their courier!

Danny would not bee seen dead on a Scalpel...

While i appreciate the wahoo having brilliant service im wondering if i can get over the higher pitched whine, this is why it was important for me to demo.
