Maybe some clarity on the "age groups" vs "family rides" ?

Maritz is 8 years old and is thus "restricted" to the 1,5km ride .... R100 to do 1,5km ? He typically does 10 to 15km rides, so certainly NOT interested in 1,5km.  Even at the SPUR league they do more than double that distance, and yet more when you add the practice laps.

Then there is also mention and costs for a 15km "family ride", but I seem to miss the details of when this ride happens ....

Maybe I'm just missing something - well I obviously am - but how does this 2-day ride work? Results of last year only shows one day, the routes for all distances only have one map... do you ride the same route two days in a row or what?

At least contemplating this, but with Cape Town Marathon the following week, it may not be the wisest...

Edit - sorry, I now see that it's two days covering different distances, not a multi-day event.

Also not very clear what is happening on which day. Which day is the MTB races taking place?

1 day event only. Kiddies day on the Saturday & adults racing on the Sunday. It been like that for years now.

Really loved this last year, ran the 1.5km behind my daughter on the Saturday and did the long ride on Sunday - what a challenge that was!

Sadly it is the same weekend as Wolseley so I'll be heading out there this year.

Is the longer routes on the Sunday (which is actually 8 September, and not 7 September as per their website?).  Then one can ride Wolseley or Piket-Bo-Berg on the Saturday and Fedhealth on the Sunday?

I find the info on their website very confusing...

you have to go through the entry process to determine the date. last year the long route was the Saturday

are you sure? Usually the kids are on Saturday? I remember because last year the announcer at the kids race told us the Springboks just won the All Blacks in NZ and I thought he was joking...
