After being bashed as a wheelsucker and the most boring snorefest for ages, he is suddenly winning stages, throwing punches and looks exciting. I am glad.... If he ends his career winning some polka jerseys and some big solo wins in the high mountains ala Purito I will be stoked. Or a Grand Tour or two... But I always loved Purito....

Maybe he feels more free now that his country has a new superstar. Less weight on his shoulders. Perhaps the fact that he is leaving Movistar and is not seen by management as the leader during this race also help. All in all he just seems more "relaxed" and has a a bit of a spring in his step which is very good to see.
