Who's the hottie doing a wheelie with no front wheel?!

Would love to know what was considered a MTB getaway destination in 1992. Do you have the actual magazine?

Northern Farm 2012 with my step daughter. I do miss the Farm. Used to be able to easily cover 50km pretty much without using the same piece of trail twice. Then have a bacon and egg roll afterwards. Happy days.

12th Birthday

Proper Bike

Back in the misty days of the early 70's, in the time when semi-country bumpkins like myself had no idea that boys should wear deodorant, I used to ride a bike similar to this to school and back. 27km To school in Jhb, in belted long pants, white long sleeve shirt, tie, school shoes and jacket rolled up inside my khaki coloured canvas 'rugsak'. I thought I was a flippin hero, scorning the comfortable Putco school bus. Somehow I would get through morning 'quad parade inspection'. (in retrospect, the prefects probably realised I was a country bumpkin and made allowances)

I cringe now at the thought of how I must have stunk at school. No wonder I could only get girlfriends from the local plot community.
