That's the earned advantage for Team Sunweb from having his protected rider in Kelderman following close. Strategically, Tao had to work to close the gap on the Maglia Rosa, Tactically, Hinley was to be a safeguard for his team in case Wilco fade even further. Gonna lose it all in the TT.It's possible but atm they lead the race with 2 options.. now we get a incredible 2 days where they most likely will see assaults from Ineos and Bahrain..and then the ITT where anything (fall, mechanical etc) can happen so ideally someone would want a bit of lead before it.
