Forthelove Posted June 4, 2020 Share Got some of those exact parts from Evobikes Lousy service, no good deals , they spend a lot on advertising with the hub. Summit or CWC are gentlemen. Evobikes terms could catch you off guard.

MORNE Posted June 5, 2020 Share anyway...sounds like he had trouble with most of them....wait for it.....during the lockdown period. I can with full confidence, state the exact opposite of all the stores mentioned.  evo bikes has gone out of their way to import something at their expense that wasn't in stock locally at the distributors.....just to fulfil my order and i didn't even ask that they do it. The only way I knew was when i queried a late shipment. They have gladly exchanged items even after I have opened them and changed my mind;  They have even given me older bits and bobs lying around in the workshop without charge.... Bikeaddict has also served me well...even sent a courier to collect a hope hub in the wrong configuration sent by accident all the way from Malmesbury.Remember...alot of these stores follow the 'dropship' model...which mean they dont carry the stock most of the time. And finally, to prove my point...i've had absolutely horrible service from cwc on quite a few occasions.... Edited June 5, 2020 by morneS555

Mojoman Posted June 5, 2020 Share To be honest I seldom buy from CWC these days...although their actual delivery has never been an issue trying to get someone to reply to mails or return a phone call seems to be a thing of the past...Anyway I find their pricing is often beaten by smaller online shops...So I shop around....I have also usedwww.capemulti.co.zaFor various bike tools in the past. Johnny Lawless Posted June 5, 2020 Share some have already been mentioned....but here is my local online bike mall: (in no particular order) https://www.evobikes.co.zahttps://bikemob.co.zahttps://www.rapide.co.zahttps://www.lynecomponents.comhttps://www.cwcycles.co.zahttps://bike-addict.co.zahttps://isikosports.co.zahttps://www.custombikes.co.zahttp://summitbikes.co.zahttp://trailtechcycles.co.zahttps://getstokedonline.co.zahttps://switchbacksports.co.zahttps://www.easybike.co.zahttp://gpm-sports.co.zahttps://www.extremelights.co.zahttp://www.dirtmerchant.co.zahttps://www.cycletouring.co.zahttps://gravelandtour.co.zahttps://www.bikalot.comhttps://everydaycyclesupplyco.comhttps://www.pinned.co.zahttps://solomonscycles.co.za thats my list anyway. Between those you can find most of what is available locally in terms of bike parts. There are a few others for cycling kit etc and maybe one or two generic ones I probably end up checking as a last resort usually. Well thanks man, how am I suppose to stay focused on work today with all these sites I've never seen? RomP Posted June 5, 2020 Share I did not want to turn this into a ranting thread, however its clear many different opinions of different shops. Thank you for your honesty and advice.I too have experienced the worst service both from CWC and Cycle lab lynnwood the last week even after contacting their head officeI do understand shortage of stock, challenges with issues beyond our control, however lack of planning and arrogance by junior staff at store level is another story. No one can get hold of a manager at either of these stores, thus my request for a list of "smaller" shops to move on and support these shops that do appreciate customers business.  Regards
NickGM Posted June 5, 2020 Share Who is that ? dont want to take the wrong adviceThe person with one post on this thread. It may be legit, but very (very) often you see somebody making their one and only post gushing over the great service from some online retailer who is typically looking to repair or build up their reputation. So Hubbers are cynical and I include myself in that group. On that note, my contribution:www.buycycle.co.za I've ordered twice from them and both times there was an issue. The first time I was sent the wrong thing (like not even close; a cassette when I ordered a stem or something), and the second time I waited for over a month for my order. The staff were VERY attentive and apologetic, but ja I just mention this as a cautionary note. They often get things wrong but do try to fix it. Make what you will of that. Bizkit031 Posted June 5, 2020 Share Evobikes give big hassles if you return the goods that are untouched. Avoid if you can. Nasty bunch. CWC service on phone expert advise is fantastic and returns with no issues as long it’s not used or touched. Highly recommend.Bike Addict you could wait up to a month for your orders ... http://summitbikes.co.za. Excilient service , great prices and helpful at all times. Bike addict also don’t accept credit cards.
