I'm pretty sure the thread on the rotor side of the hub is for a bearing preload adjuster. I seem to recall twiddling out some play in the front bearing of a Roval Wheel. The lady was highly appreciative as she didn't know why her brakes kept shing shinging everytime she went around a corner. So there's likely a few parts that are not correct on your hub

 

With a preload adjuster the end cap would sit slightly further out yes? Maybe i'm just missing that.

The endcap does not turn and the rotor does so I am not sure what D I D is saying there.

 

Is that thread not in the disk? Looks like the disk is compatible with center lock and 6 boltd?

Some preload adjusters have a threaded seal that fits into the hub to create a labyrinth seal. The adjuster mechanism itself would usually sit on the axle but as you're confused I realise that theres no thread on the axle so its not that. Simple case of damaged or incorrect endcap.

OK, hard to see but whole wheel is a bit off centre towards the brake side.

Looking the pic of the off centre wheel and the clearly modified endcap...this hub/wheel was either made to fit a boost fork previously or its a boost hub/cap ground down so it would fit a non boost fork. Either way it would explain that 5mm ish offset.

That end cap has defiantly been sanded down. These are the originals.

To my knowledge Roval have never had a hub with threaded end caps. So either it's not an original Roval hub or it's an old hub that is no designed to be TA compatible.

if it not designed to be thru axle compatible, how does the thru axle fit in the hub? Easy to change from small diameter axle to large, not so easy the other way round

Not sure what you mean

 

The wheel was designed for TA. only the end caps change to fit QR

 

It is easier to take a 15mmTA, change end caps and put it on a QR fork. Not easy to go other way round

Those end cap numbers are not for boost.

Then its a boost hub with a ground down non-boost endcap so it could fit a nonboost fork?.

This ‘issue’ is easily replicated with the older 20mm TA nonboost forks. The 20mm hubs and subsequent fork spacing are actually also 110mm...but the disk mounts sit where they normally would on a 100mm one. I tested this on a 20mm TA 26” Lyrik i had and a new boost Hope pro4 hub. It would fit in there perfectly if not for the 15 vs 20mm TA. The disk will just catch on the fork on the boost hub. Thats why i think this has to then be a boost hub with endcaps ground down to fit 100mm.

That’s just what I was saying, think my comment may not have been clear. But yes, easier to convert thru axil to qr given the internal diameter of the they axle hub can accommodate a tiny qr axle with the correct adapter

There was definitely some filing going on there. You can see from the picture that the wheel is not in the centre of the fork. So someone has done a MacGyver there. I suspect the endcap/s.

That is what i thought hence I posted the diagram with the sizes for the OP to measure

Strong suspicion that it is a newer boost hub as I am not able to find 20120/13 roval hubs in Carbon

It seems that any problem can be solved on Bikehub, eventually...

 

 

 

 

What I would have done in this situation, I would have bought a new hub.

Half the okes here would have bought a new bike to solve the problem...
