Froome to assist G in the mountains....you've heard it here first

Wasn't it stage 12 2018 Alp D'Huez when Thomas dropped Froome to win?

I'm sitting in Berg&Dal, no video feed. How is Louis going?

Louis 'Mandjies' is in a likely winning break as the GC battle is more than 6 mins behind.

Powless & Froome starting to suffer

I think Pidcock will also drop off

So things looking good for Louis

Tom Pidcock is going very early. It is a beautiful climb up to the mountain town of Huez. Every hairpin bend is a small respite before the gradient grabs the tyres again. Steeper gradients are quite high up, so pacing is key, especially after two days of mountain stages. Chris Froome has won twice on Bastille Day. Great to see the legend in the finale today, turning back the clock.

It was a personal milestone to go up there in 2015. It was a week before the Tour de France, so relatively peaceful.

GO, LOUIS! WHAT A RETURN TO THE TOP FLIGHT, WOW! 🧨
