Shurter had another puncture, it's incredible... I've been carrying tubes and plugs for 3 years on my MTB and never had to use one once so far (touching wood). Is Nino racing on Aspens even for Epic ?

On a different note...I raised this 2 or 3 years ago when Nino flatted and had issues. .....do they run skimmed tyres made from silk pajamas to save weight and rolling resistance? It's just my opinion but I'd rather go with a slightly beefier tyre with better puncture resistance and know I should be ok for the stage.

Correct, they run Maxxis aspen super race on the rear. Its basically a slick tubby.

They will have issues I feel all epic on this set up.

I've stopped having sympathy when they flat....these things just aren't MTB tyres...

Nino races this in XC... it is Maxxis Aspen race XC. Hoping this is not the choice for the Epic, because that would have issues.

Yeah.... good luck to them when running this.

It seems that Ninos epic tires have more holes in them though...😜

Villafane + Hatten – seems like they're doing a battery swap of sorts.

Either a battery swop or they just left it in the low position and pulled the entire seatpost out as far possible.
