I went out yesterday afternoon and came to the drif where the mighty Mosselbank River burst its banks, opposite Mellish station. I was on my 26 er and had to turn back. However if I was on the 29 er I could have pedaled through without getting my feet wet :)

A passion for Mountain biking and a SEVERE phobia for snakes do have their challenges to say the least...

Loving Hoogekraal at the moment, did the FULL loop 5 times in one go friday a week ago, 62km, 2250m climbing, was stukkend for 3 days after that....still fun tho :huh:

That's great training, how long did that take you ? just outa interest

Our Karkloof bokkies are usually so shy and disappear quickly, this one stood and stared at us for a few minutes before walking off.

Must say we get to see some great wildlife here..a mate posted a pic of them riding through a pair of giraffe just chilling on the park road in bisley nature reserve

A small ROAD ride around the peninsula on my ROAD bike. 43km of slow distance. Not LSD cos it wasn't long, but I now have my Slow Distance route mapped. Just to get the fat burning engine going....
