Good ol heia safari. Warmed up nicely during the ride, took some layers off on the couch, and took a pic of my bike.

QR gave up on me just as I started the yellow section, so I gave my bike a piggyback ride back to the car.

Still a lekker ride despite the small issue. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1437220842.719402.jpg

Today is a Joburg Winter pearler. Lekker man. Five weeks and counting till I'm back in my bird.

Ride plans for today changed last minute for me..  had a long ride planned at VG,

but this work dictated otherwise

then a mate asked if I wanted to join for the Enduro skills clinic at Hakahana.

It started too late but I said we could go there anyway if he wanted (both never been)

we did...we climbed...we pushed...we climbed....we pushed.... we experienced awesome views and quite a gnarly downhill...(SP1) I thought I was ok in the technical department... ...thought...

You Enduro okes are something else...

but I'll go again  ^_^  views are amazing!

this side of the mountain...

It was spectacular, I was quite surprised at how quickly it warmed up.

Beaut ride today. There's something about a late afternoon Midlands ride...

No photos and I kinda like it that way this time. Scenery just for those who pedaled to see it.

Got back to the Pub in time to see the Qhubeka salute over the line. Magic!

No green beastie? Kekeke.

 Kekeke indeed!

Um, I think I would've been spewing shards of my pelvis had I tried that Rinkhals on it.

I was grateful for every mm of travel I had yesterday...my old, fragile body is feeling it today

(the Green Beastie is not whole... got my fork back from Bogus on Friday, so it's being prepped for the madness that will ensue in Winterton in 2 weeks time  )

Surprisingly nice ride at northern farms this morning.

Last time I rode there lots of the black sections were freshly cut track.

They put lots of work in at NF. Did you do the Enchanted forest section?
