Friday, up through UCT to Rhodes Memorial to do THAT HILL! I like the new road signs UCT put up on campus, Such a pity I don't see many students riding bikes on their campus cycle lanes. They must love parking difficulties.

My bike isn't going to be taking me anywhere for the next few weeks / months.

Blew my knee out while trail building yesterday, so she's going to a new, temporary home for a while.

Crow, look after my baby please. :(

Sorry to hear.

All the best with rehab.

Another great time on the bike today.

We left our usual home of Midrand, from there we went through Woodmead and past the Gautrain in Malboro too Linbro.

Going in to Linbro we were taken back by the incredible site of thousands of pigeons circling the sky.

The home to the Million Dollar Pigeoon race is in Linbro, there was a chap on the roof with a flag and a mean whistle training his vöele.

Through Kempton Park towards Atlas, where we race along at 50 k's an hour with Carpet on my back, that chick is strong, we managed to keep off a wolf pack of black clad riders in team kit and super expensive carbon wheels.

We also saw many cyclists going through red traffic lights :whistling:

We turned towards Impala park and went around the back of the O.R. Tambo runways with an incredible headwind and some wheelsuckers who must be hating us right now.

Came out at Ravensklip and no trip will be complete without some photographic evidence of the iconic La Conga Roadhouse.

Goodness Armpies Dog, can't be fun.

No bro. It's not. It's the 2nd time this knee has gone. First was a dance floor incident (long story, peppered with vodka) and now this. First was a meniscus. No surgery, natural heal, 6 months till it was "right" again.

This felt the same as the first time. Except I felt the ligaments crossing in my knee. Pop pop pop. Just like that.

I hope it's not surgery. Cos that ****'s forever. But much like a shoulder dislocation. Once it's popped, it can't stop.
