Years ago I seem to remember someone created a spreadsheet of the groups and everyone could put their name in their starting group, is it worth doing and are there enough of us even riding to make it worthwhile?

its better than yesterdays forecast, lets see how it changes as the days go by.

traditionally its a rainy week leading up to the race.

Compare that to the weather from Intervals, icu

If you ask the forecasters to predict what happened yesterday, they'll still get it wrong.

So my very good geologist friend says past 5 days there are way too many variables to be accurate..

The red line is from actual start line to the first timing system which registers which batch you started in. Race time starts at the advertised start time, with the timing sensors confirming your start time.

Not sure geologists are any better qualified than most in terms of weather forecasting

Geogolgy provides the framework for meteorology..

Geology defines the different climate zones..

Geologists study how the physical landscape affects weather patterns..

geologists study how urbanization and other ways human activity influences weather patterns..

both geology and meteorolgy study natural disaster such as hurricanes and other extreme weather conditions..

that's why a geologist is more qualified than us to comment.. better luck next time pal..

Im aggressive because i cant ride next week.. 🤣🤣 kidding im not aggressive just pompous.. 🤣🤣

i just do the research and ask questions to people far more qualified than me before making statements..(mostly)

My mate is an environmental and hydrogeologist who also studied climatology in university.. His specialist field requires a good understanding of meteorology..

Just thought id calm you all down about the weather until next week when we can have a-much better idea for you guys..🙄 gosh🤣🤣

Ok, so now you can post the EPIC RIDE weather predictions for Sunday, My plan is to ride with one water bottle and one peanut butter sachet then ride from water point to water point, see if I can survive the day - getting super excited.
