@ChrisF, I'm not the organizer/convener of this ride, just passing the info on.

The person organizing this is well connected/bit of a media celebrity himself. He will make sure we get as much traction as possible.

Who is organizing it?

And in your infinite wisdom, what do you propose we do?

Do you think this ride is to intimidate/try and dissuade the crims?

No, it is to highlight our plight to the powers that be, as they were notified of this ride, and the reason for It.

Remember the faeces throwing incidents from awhile ago in the cape? They targeted the city offices and the airport to get traction to their plight

Perhaps a ride to the mayors offices instead of the hotspot? No one of importance is at the bridge to see your efforts at any time anyway, but rather go to a place where it hits home the best - there's nothing worse than a shut down mayors office area due to a protest to gain attention

Please dont assume that i dont support the means to fix things, i just think it'll be a fruitless exercise by going to the incorect venue.

And i certainly don't think it will dissuade the crims by any means, it might give them something to remember when, say, a bright blue bike comes past and they remenbered it having fancy kit on it

My infinite wisdom for you

This weekend there was LOTS of security on lion’s head/signal hill, but ******* there on the n1. Priorities

I think you mean Politics...

The increase in muggings is evident since the eviction of the sea point and castle dwellers. (this is not facts, just my assumptions)

The lanie arears are where it counts

I’m sure the impact is not as big as I want to make it, but surely this impacts small businesses as well.

All the cyclists visiting coffee shops and restaurants in Town should in principle be less which inadvertently impacts business.
