If there’s one race you need to ride this winter, it’s Around the Pot. Whether you’re gunning for a win or just chasing a finish line with friends, this is your chance to experience the Overberg like never before.

Now in its 6th edition, the 2025 B-well Around the Pot, presented by SEESA, takes place on 2 August and offers something for every level of rider:

  • 100 Miler (155 km) – the flagship race for serious gravel grinders.

  • 60 Miler (102 km) – a greatest-hits route that shows off the best of the Overberg.

  • 25 Miler (48 km) – ideal for first-timers and families, winding through the beautiful Bontebok National Park.

Other than under Prize Money, there is no reference to a 200-miler on their site. Event info, Start Times, Waterpoints, Route Maps & Profiles, Event Support and Prize Giving all mention 100, 60 and 25 milers only.

I prepared for the race so I am still going to do the route unsupported. If someone is also considering this.

Hey Gert.

Was considering this myself, not sure if my partner is considering it too.

I've asked him.

Hi Sucramuk

I am going to start at the time it was supposed to start at 21:00. Was thinking of driving to Protem Friday and just leave some water there so I can mix some carb drink because you pass there 2 times. Let me know then I can put some down for you too.

Where are all the cape weather experts who say this event needs to be in summer now?

Glad there is finally ok weather, what do they say - even a broken clock is right twice a day.. 😋

No I'm chuffed for the organisers and those who have entries, very little wind as well so should be a good one after a cold start.

Looking even warmer for Saturday 👌🏻

🫶🏻Feed Zone at Ouplaas
A highlight of your ride for the 60 and 100 milers will be the Ouplaas feed zone, where riders can enjoy a mouthwatering, freshly prepared roosterkoek and ice cold Coke. This is more than just a pit stop, it’s a chance to relax, recharge, and enjoy true platteland hospitality.
