I received a message from a mate stating that De Villiers Cycling has liquidated, and all of their events are postponed for now, can this be true?

These are a few of their events on the calendar:

Paarl Cycle Tour,

Paarl Boxing Day Track Challenge,

Montecasino,

Tour du Cap,

Groot Trap,

Emperors Palace Classic,

Boland Gravel Monster,

Shesha Finals,

Boland 100 Miler.

There goes my entry fee for the montecasino ride, which has been delayed a few times, aint never going to see those beer coupons again

Pretty expensive beer coupons. Pre Entry in the Banana Republic of the Southern Tip is risky business. And here I thought… the early bird gets the worm. 🙉.

Not necessary liquidating but history of races not materialising, Tshwane Classsic was a prime example of this. Each to their own, all I'm saying is unless its a big event I'd rather do a late entry.

I did ! 2 weeks before the original start date... 🤣 and then bought an entry for my wife when they offered 50% discount. So I've lost two tickets...

Well offering a product you can't deliver when you know you're on the verge of being liquidated.... there's experts on where this lies between trying to rescue the business and simple fraud
