Entered. Plan for next year is to not join the racing groups, and do a solo TT from the back groups. Less crash risk, more sleep, less drama? Yes please

Least risk to stay in front of the racing groups.

Back group riders can make some real back marker moves too - just running out of steam on SMits and stopping in the middle of the road --- losing control because hasn't changed into a manageable gear and suddenly veering to one side ....

All of the above ....

2022 I started second LAST ... traffic at the very back is an experience best avoided.

2023 I started just after 7 ... much better !  Until people get tired and the swerving starts on Smits ... and again at each steep section.

2024 I did the charity ride thing ... falling back and starting around 8 ... demmmm ... avoid the traffic that far back

Last 2 I started just after 7. Much nicer .... have to wonder what the 6.30 to 6.45 traffic is like ....

This was me this year (first one). Going to work on seeding 2026/2027.

If I completed this year within a reasonable time. Will that help with my seeding for next year?

It will be better than having no seeding at all. But next year your CTCT 2026 seeding will be penalized because it's so long in the past.
If you want a better seeding you should do one of the seeding races prior to the CTCT 2027 - it's also good for training.

when do the seedings get updated though?

from past experience usually around the time they need to do it ie in the week of the next race where seeding is needed
