When the wheel is out' date=' put in a spacer, that little bit of forward movement won't make any difference.

The only real benefit is to protect the lever in a crash.

I thought it gave you something to do on those long open boring roads. It is such fun flicking them back and forth! smiley9.gif

Its friday, time to revive the dumb question thread

How do I repair a tubeless trye, without using a plug? Can I safely use a tube patch on the inside of the tyre, maybe a bit of patch glue in the hole as well?

Or, mushroom it and be done?

For context, the plug works fine but the cut/hole is just on the inside of a knobbly bit on the outer edge of the tyre, so every time you go over a rock or hit an object with the outer edges the knob moves/flexes and the plug inches out and/or doesnt seal anymore.
