I've received reports of a bike jacking near ORT Airport by the railway lines this morning.

Group of 7 were ambushed with rocks thrown at them, they grabbed one guy and his bike, when the group gave chase the perps started shooting.

 

Everyone is ok, but they lost a bike and a cellphone

Sunrise 05h30 to 06h30

*Location*
Pretoria rd by Isando station

*Description*
A Peleton of bikers were traveling down Pretoria rd towards Jet Park when they were attacked  by a number of African Males. Rocks were thrown at them and a firearm was used to rob one of the cyclists of his valuables

Please be vigilant in this area during above mentioned times as this could be a new trend by criminals 

Please report all incidents to SAPS and obtain a case number as this shall assist in when these perpetrators are arrested and prosecuted

Looking at that photo, the charges filed should include at least Attempted Murder, as a rock against the head, especially in the ear area, can kill a person.

Strongs to that cyclist, trust he will recover fully from that injury.
