Cruxpearl Posted April 25, 2007 Share SA ladies team for China announced http://images.supersport.co.za/ChrissieVOljoenFeb07180.jpgThis week Cycling South Africa announced the Elite Ladies Team to take part in the Tour of Chongming Island in China from the 2nd to 6th of June 2007. The Team Cashandra Slingerland (Cycle Lab SuperCycling)Altie Clark (Cycle Lab SuperCycling)Robyn De Groot (Proline)Lynette Burger (Harmony)Chrissie Viljoen (Harmony)Anke Erlank Moore (Duravit)The team will be managed by Tony Harding. The tour is predominantly flat but the Island is characterized by strong winds. The tour comprises of a time trial followed by four road stages. This is very nice Congratulations Chrissie, Grapkas, Cashandra, Lynette, Robyn & Anke But, I have to ask this question???Where is Princess & Marissa???Is this a veritable attempt to eliminate all competition from the SA Championship race and hand the crown to Princess on a platter????How can it be deemed a fair race if all of the opposition will not be there to participate???Flat races is the forte of sprinters (Princess) and strong riders like Marissa, so why are they not included? Will it be a fair reflection if Proline wins in the absence of the other girls and competition? Reg Lizard Posted April 26, 2007 Share No Anriette Schoeman, or is she still out of action after that crash she had a while ago?
vet pens Posted April 26, 2007 Share Some of the sponsors said that certain people are not allowed to go to China due to SA's on the same weekend....it was in the papers..Also have to agree with Crux, this might not be a true reflection...but same goes for the team that was chosen, the line up might be different if everyone was available to race in China So go Minolta and C-bist, please don't dissappoint and let pro line win... fatcyclist Posted April 26, 2007 Share Hey, from my point of view, I'm happy for Cashandra that she's going to China. It's a chance to experience something different. Personally if I had to chose to ride SA's or a trip to China...where's my passport??!!
vet pens Posted April 26, 2007 Share Wonder wat is die sadste, dat sy nie in China is nie of dat sy SA's toe gaan en ons die race report weer moet lees

nochain Posted April 26, 2007 Share Mallo ,If Taylorchick is in SA during that time ,she will be riding Junior not Elite. She will have to wait one more year to take on Andriette.
