It is very wrong and irresposible to name a person' date=' and from where they originate. If I was the 'accused', I would consider taking this matter further, and I would request that the writer be banned from this forum, please refer to the rules and regs when you click on the 'accept' button when registering.

If this is the same person I know, a better man you can't wish to meet. Thank you for your time and effort you put into safe guarding our Community including visitors to the Cradle area.

(riding patrols, walking foot patrols, going the extra mile in preventing crime, and doing your bit to prevent farm attacks - given 50 citizens are mudered everyday in RSA, and assisting in chasing the attackers who attacked a cyclist last year at the Kromdraai circle)

Mark, we do need to keep some decency in this process and refrain from exaggerating and using phrases like 'ball hair'. Regards

sticking up for someone who open endangers cyclists lives makes you just as bad as him.

hiding behind some stupid pseudonym makes you worse.

Well it seems like "a better person than you can't wish to meet" does have a ugly side to him.

I doubt Bruce or Chucky would exagarate or make up their posts for no valid reason.

As Bruce mentioned, what would happen if Mr Better person had to actualy hit, maim or at worse kill one of the riders he was trying to "scare"

Thank you for your input Dave!

Those of us that have been on the receiving end of Dave's driving skills don't share the same "better man you can't wish to meet" sentiment as you. It's pretty scary having 2 tons of metal miss you by a few centimetres with hooter on "full". It may be a bit of fun for the driver - not so cool for us.

Dave once again seems to be endangering this fragile truce between Cradle residents and cyclists....if you are not Dave I suggest you phone him up and tell him to stop giving your area a rotten name.

Mark & Bruce' date=' I suggest you go to your nearest Police station and report the matter. You have this guys details so give it to the Police even if nothing comes of it at least they will have a record of this incident in the event he does hit an innocent person. PLEASE, I BEG YOU TO REPORT IT!![/quote']

I agree. Report it to the police under Reckless and Negligent Driving. We can't allow this to continue but it is vitally important that we stick to the legal process as well, however frustrating this may be.

According to "mr ples" it is, so long as you don't use a phrase like ball hair in the process smiley3.gif

This is a serious incident - I also reckon you should lay a charge against him.

I believe I read in another thread on the hub about a certain rider that was recently bust for doping that he was also a "better man you can't wish to meet". Why doesn't Dave prove to us that he is indeed a "better man you can't wish to meet" and not endanger cyclists?

Had a similar experience while riding alone through the cradle on my way back from a long Magaliesburg ride 2 years ago, lay a charge if you know the driver.

Another thing... When is the counsel going to paint the bicycle lanes on the road???? There are already potholes and very uneven sections forming on the route close to the Rhino Lion Park.

Taking the matter further how? Defamation? One defence to defamation is the truth. Thank you, I will take costs with your case being dismissed.

mr ples, I assume you come from a very long line of Cradle Residents!  I'm sure Jack the Ripper also had some friends who thought he was a really nice guy!  However, an unprovoked attack with a deadly weapon, and being willing to admit to it, tells a different story.

The 3 cyclists that were intimidated this morning have been doing a lot of work to try to sort this problem out.  Up to now, the three of us have been trying hard to create a peaceful situation, we have been on your side.

This incident will be reported, and although I'm sure the police have more important things to worry about, it will go down on record and used in the case that a more serious incident occurs.

Given that Mark has not posted any personal information and has made no defamatory remarks, why should he be banned?

His post actually warns us of the irresponsible actions of one of your residents in the area, as also confirmed by his telephonic converstaion with the guy.

It could be argued that Mark may be making up the argument, but to what end? So that would be a moot point.

Lets not forget this 'blockade' idea, that is cause for concern. I seriously hope this stupid action is not being pursued. I am personally sending the Honeydew Police station this link and requesting they be on the alert over the weekend.

By all means, lets take this further!

This doesn't justify what he did this morning does it. In fact it seems to indicate some form of mental disorder, but thats just my opinion.

Mark' date=' we do need to keep some decency in this process and refrain from exaggerating and using phrases like 'ball hair'. Regards

With all due respect, common decency works both ways Trevor and you are taking that phrase out of context.

The response given to Mark and co when attempting to deal with the so called cyclists issue, had no decency attached to it.

Defacing the cyclist signs in the Cradle, had no decency.

Talk of blockading the roads, has no decency.

Interestingly, are the residents taking similar actions against motor cyclists and motorists transgressing road regulations?

So when making a comment about keeping some decency, lets put it into perspective!

I've reported this topic and the threat or implied threat therof to Muldersdrift SAPS (011 957 2375), Insp van der Westhuizen and emailed to crimestopgauteng@saps.org.za

Inspc van Rooyen from visible policing at Honeydew has also been informed and has made a note on this.

If anyone wishes to report anything but wishes to remain anonymous they can sms crimeline 32211 www.crimeline.co.za

There is also e-blockwatch.

It's sad that things have to resort to this, instead of responsible adults sitting down and resolving these issues like a civilised group.

But no, it comes down to kinder *** like this, what a fine example of human beings we are. FFS
