Maybe you should wait and see who actually makes it past the UCI to the start line before picking a winner. So far, Astana have not yet signed the anti-doping code (the one where you forfeit a years pay if caught) so technically they aren't even eligible to start yet...

The course favours strong time triallists (both indiv tt's are 50+km) and with only four mountaintop finishes I would say a guy who can TT well and not lose much in the mountains has the best chance.

Expect Cadel Evans, Mick Rogers, Leipheimer to feature.

Frank Schleck and even Bobby Julich have an outside chance.

Sastre's TT will let him down although he should do well in the mountains

My pick is Vino, mainly because he is the "Kamakazi Khazaki" and if nothing else provides d@mn fine entertainment

wolfie, do you think schleck intentionally slacked off after the early stages of the swiss tour to save himself for the tdf?

ps did you ride this morn? wasn't so bad today!

I don't think Schleck or Evans has a chance against Vino or Kloden in the TT's. Schlech cant outclimb Vino' date=' so hows he going to win?[/quote']

He can certainly outcimb Vino on a good day but otherwise he just needs to wait for Vino to make a stupid mistake and lose about 10 mins in one day (He seems to do it most years)

Also, I forgot to mention Valverde. He'll have Pereiro in support, they will also be a factor.

Leipheimer, Sastre,  Evans could could fill out the top 10.

You may be right 101% - if you listen to all the LA detractors, Discovery are light years ahead of anyone else in undetected (non-"Discovery"Big%20smile) doping!!
