Have the Front brake lever on the side you naturaly expect it to be.

i.e. some bikes have it on the left and some on the right side of the handlebar.

 

Watch your shins when you put your foot down on step uphills, especially if you got those bear trap type pedals...

 

Make sure your helmet fits tight and does not fall over your line of sight over bumps and downhills

 

Only try wheelies if you are really good at it, multiply by 10 when theres a crowd around...

Here's some of the unwritten rules(like roadies have):

 

1. No bar ends on a riser bar

2. No alluminium cages on a carbon bike

3. No saddlebag on a pretty bike

4. Remove all the reflectors

5. Don't use a camelback on rides shorter than 4hours

 

Or is all of this bullsh!tErmm
