wanted to run roadie wheels in a old steel ht with v-brakes ... wheels can be made to fit, just the brakes don't look to line up with the rim.

You get some V brakes with an elongated guide/ slot where the height of the brake pad can be adjusted. Apparently some of these can work on multiple rim diameters...

I am so over gears. I am selling the Talon and have bought a Scott Scale 720 Plus . I am getting it tomorrow .

I will remove all the BS and make it sexy.

If you out on the trials and you hear someone shouting " Gears are for pussies " , its probably me.

Pictures to follow .

You can also make/have made an adapter that will shift the brake mount holes.

Something like this

I have made something previously before (Not Nearly as nice)

Another alternative is to get a frame builder to braze on a set of v-brake mounts

Nothing worse than a SS rider telling you he's a SS rider. Just ride. People will notice - if that's the aim. ;) Edited by Ryanpmb

Will be interesting to hear how this "plus" ss performs on the hills compared to the normal ss. Single track should be fun!

Ran my Krampus SS for a while. Had to run one tooth bigger on the rear cog compared to my "normal" SS. Don't underestimate the rolling resistance on those 3.0" tyres!

They say it only 1% more rolling resistance than 27.5". We will see. I will get a set of 29er wheels , for those long flattish rides. Must say , I am liking the boost hubs.
