Shaved legs are easier to clean the bits of tar and dirt out of wounds after a fall, and you get a better massage with shaved legs.

Nobody took this strategy to extent that "Il Pirata" did, yet he failed to put the so-called gains to full use. He opted to stuff himself with narcotics instead and finally paid the ultimate price.

What a loss to cycling and aerodynamic engineering in general 😭

You only have to watch some of the earlier TdF footage and you will realize the obove to be only part of the story. The tour origins has more to do with participation of riders and spectators, having fun and af-*** all in one.

Humanity is taking itself way too seriously, luckily we still have the likes of Sagan, Bolt, etc. to show us what it is all about.

I have been thinking of this lately in the context of the Olympic sprinters. After watching 101 youtube clips guys preparing for the Unbound gravel race and optimizing aerodynamics and Cav with his super aero socks and shoes for the sprint, then one watches the Olympic 100m and 200m qualifying events and many of the female sprinters have massive hair-do's. Over a 100m, would shaving your head or wearing a swimming cap not save 0.1 or 0.2 of a second?

Have that exact same question. Busy watching Sprint on Netflix, and i'm dumbstruck at how some of these queens present themselves. So much Glam. I get it, they're like rockstars, but still, surely having hair down to your butt gets in the way somehow. It must also weigh a good 500grams +. Wouldn't one be better off with shorter locks?? The mind boggles

After seeing your post yesterday, I started watching "Sprint" as I am huge fan of Tour de France Netflix series. The sprinters (aside from some of the American ladies), seem to be world class knobs. Couldn't watch the whole of the first episode.

Also couldn't get into the golf one...
