  2. Being unhappy with a purchase because it or the advice you received doesn't match your expectations, I get. Selling that bike, ok, sure. But to sell the bike that you admit you "absolutely love", just because it has the same brand name on it? A little bit "Cutting off your nose to spite your face", don't you think? And to be "absolutely disgusted" - a bit social media hysteria level there. Putting your hand in poo, disgusting. Theft of critical infrastructure during widespread power outages, disgusting. Not getting exactly what you wanted and paid for? Very annoying, yes, but disgusting?
  3. Simple solution is to just fit wireless Bluetooth brakes 🙃
  4. Hey, it has been a massive upgrade over my old Breville, much more consistent, the grinder did take some fiddling with because the grind wasnt fine enough even on the finest setting out the box, but I pulled it apart and set the burrs closer together, and while I was at it I shimmed them to run straighter, and since then, it has been great, it is a little noisy, but not too bad, and it does take a fairly ling time grinding pre dosed grinds, around 40 seconds, I am sure if I just filled the hopper and used the timer it would be way quicker, but I like being pedantic and weighing out my beans for every cup....
  5. I had no idea people were so passionate about internal cable routing, wow 😲
  6. oh ja. I can't see a reason why this couldn't be done. In the same breadth beyond the clean look I can't see that being reason enough to really want such an impractical setup. so @Nielv1 do you feel a bit better now that you got this one off your chest? please let us know when the bargain bikes are hitting the classifieds section.
  7. Keen to hear how that machine is treating you, the adverts have been very tempting.
  8. is the dealer who said it can't be done going to be named?
  9. Last time I checked the title of this thread was something in the line of Best bib shorts for short women? Nee man ouens ....................... 😚
  10. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the OP was actually talking about these cables. Seems like both sides might be miscommunicating a bit.
  11. Please do not go the training wheel route, rather start her off on a balance bike! Those bikes can move and give the freedom, you want your daughter to experience. The boys still have their balance bikes and race each other and you can always pass them on. We started off on 16 inch single speed, rigid fork without training wheels and all three boys moved to 20inch around 5 1/2 - 6 year old. My sisters son he is 6 and moving to a 24inch. On tar the balance wheels will hold her back, the sound they make will put her off. Riding on the grass a not possible. I promise you the balance she will get within minutes, 3 runs of 100-150m. The difficult part is to learn them how to stop safely. There after the most difficult part is being a parent, being scared on behalf of you daughter, not wanting them to fall, get hurt... Mentioned before, but we place a colourful sticker on the handlebar where the back brake is.
  12. Today
  13. I bought the 20" for my girl's 6th birthday and ended up giving it a few months early while she was still 5 because the 16" was just to small and she is about average height for her grade.
  14. So you phoned a guy and asked if the Carbon Pro has internal routing https://titanracingbikes.com/bikes/switch-gen2-pro/ Looks like it does. So you might have a different model? beyond that, obviously you've paid your money, but your tone and attempt to illicit an online response by tagging the company is such a Karen move. maybe it works for you,
  15. 100% on this. 20" might be a bit big for a 5yr old anyway. We started on 12" balance bikes and never needed fairy wheels. I just see people struggling with them. you don't learnt to walk with crutches!
  16. I have a pair of these and very happy. Great for SA winters as they aren’t too bulky: https://www.foxracing.co.za/products/33803-w26-ranger-fire-glove
  17. It's always annoying when people say things to make a sale when they actually don't know. It doesn't take away from their overall product offering, value and quality for me but I can understand why you are frustrated.
  18. My 6 year old is on a 20" with gears now and it allows her to ride hills and routes around town she couldn't with her 16" single speed. For the 16", single speed was perfect as her first pedal bike. Also as mentioned above both girls transitioned from balance bike to pedaling instantly without needing training wheels.
  19. I looked at it.. I fear it may be too advanced. Something without gears makes more sense to me at this stage. I want to avoid anything that could put her off cycling as she learns. I had a bike that was too big and heavy as a kid and hated it. Took me years to get back in to bikes after that. (no training wheel too). I want her to understand the freedom and autonomy that cycling brings.. Basic rules.. Then incentivise her by removing the wheels when she is ready.. Hopefully this will work.
  20. My advice is to avoid training wheels Rather spend the time learning to balance from the start It's a much more invested way to go for the parents, but the kid doesn't then have to re learn the fundamentals of riding a bike again later
  21. One word "Bliksom"!!!! One sexy machine you got there.
  22. Small upgrade from my Lelit. I love that the La Pavoni is a a little more interactive, definitely not a beginner friendly machine. Dropped OPV to 8.5 and replaced the pressure guage with a grouphead thermometer. Find it much more accurate than a PID. Very long heat up time, but nothing a smart plug couldn't fix.
  23. Hi Looking for a Zwift Run pod, or a Garmin SDM4. Or any alternatives for accurate speed readings for Zwift on a treadmill? Thanks

  25. who you calling tall huh...?
  26. This is definitely a situation you must've faced before given your vertical challenges 😉
