  1. The Lyne 150mm post is 455mm total length, is that too short?
  2. Getting em out after they've hit rocks. Tearing out and destroying the threads. Wonder if they'll be available locally at all.
  3. Dudes...this was soooooo unbelievably amazing...Even though I was swearing ALL of the last hike-a-bike and probably half of the first on the way up
  4. no news on the 150mm internally routed yet?
  5. We are...sort of...but the trails would take too much pounding
  6. Just be careful moving the chainring inwards towards the frame. I did this on my OneTwenty (32T oval) using the Kalbo ones (maybe 2mm) and is caused the chainring to rub on the chainstay at full suspension travel. So let all the air out of your shock, depress the bike and check that as well when fiddling.
  7. OneTwenty all the way yo on CSiXX wheelset
  8. He usually uses these: http://www.cwcycles.co.za/product/all-mountain-frame-guard-xl
  9. Yeah my FUNNduro is 50 or 45 at the moment...Dunno why people think short stems making climbing hard...I made it all the way up the concrete climb to the top of Conties the other day
  10. Got me a nice short stem, so gonna give it a burn this weekend and see how (if) things change up.
  11. More important to know whether it will ever be available locally? ....
  12. That tower is about twice the size in real life when you stand under it compared to how big it looks in this video :|
  13. I did read your post properly thanks. How long ago was the trail opened, 2 year, more? So you expect people to go troll through that many facebook posts and old newsletter or visit every link on the club's website? Put a small sign saying compulsory and people will comply otherwise most will not even know.
  14. *Grabs popcorn* Not everyone can be expected to read every bit of detail on the website and the trail marker does not say anything about portage...I know of nobody (except now you) who has ever walked across that road
  15. Tonnes of devil thornes, but since I make sure I have tyre sealant I have no issues The rocks tend not to be sharp, that Malmsbury group stuff tends to break up easily and get rounded.. You may just have been unlucky the past weekend. Enjoy and don't be weary of Lombards, its chilled...And honestly, if I was racing some the the B lines are much faster IMHO anyway than the jumps
  16. As was said on PB (http://www.pinkbike.com/news/luck-of-the-irish-race-day-ews-round-3-ireland.html)... Flat f*%king pedals win medals.
  17. Don't order shoes from CRC you'll get Klapped with minimum 40% import duty. Loads of 5.10 available in RSA (Dial'd Bikes is one place). Your other option are the Specialized 2FO flat shoes from any Spaz dealer. I ride em and they're super nice although I'm not 100% safisfied with durability, but Spaz seems to have no issue replacing them if necessary.
  18. The DMR V8's...indestructable, not not a large platform and pins are hard to replace. Rode mine for about 4 years and eventually replaced em...more for cosmetic reasons than anything else
  19. I would use em on all terrain types fo sho
  20. Mr Bibi is riding an Insurgent, Warden, Following, Wreakoning...tough life
  21. Yea i know the difference, just previously thought he was riding the Following in that vid. Either way...damn impressive some of the other vids of The Following and the ethos behind the design of it
  22. Ahhh...always thought it was the Following :|
